Professionalism is a noble ideal to which attorneys aspire, but one that presents practical obstacles on a daily basis. How do we respond when the other side acts boorish? How do we promote our services in the marketplace? Whether our challenges are down the street or across the courtroom, our duty to act professionally remains paramount. So how do we fill in the blanks of professionalism to ensure that our duties to the client and the justice system are discharged appropriately? In this presentation, we will examine the peril of professionalism, the practice of professionalism, and the paradigm of professionalism using the familiar format of the crossword puzzle.
